Fiber Art for All: Fiber Art from A to Z

Co-Chairs Mary Ann Schmidt & Meg Duncan Schmidt

Thank you for your interest in participating in Textile Center’s juried online auction Fiber Art from A to Z, a national showcase of fiber art, wearables, home goods, specialty tools and supplies, as well as virtual making/learning experiences or services hosted by artists.

The auction will take place February 21 through 27, 2021.

Submissions for entries will be accepted from Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 9AM through Monday, January 18, 2021 at 5PM. Notifications of Acceptance will be made the week of January 25, 2021.

We require a minimum of three or more high resolution photos of your item that show a full view of your item, and detail shots or alternate views. Images need to be minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, or 5" x 7" (approx.) at 300 dpi. The quality of photos serves as one of the deciding factors in the selection of items for this online auction.

We also ask that participants be willing to ship their items directly to the buyers. The cost for shipping and insurance will be built into the minimum bid. If your work is selected and sells during this auction, prepaid shipping will be arranged by Textile Center.

While donated items are always appreciated, our auction will offer a 50/50 split, providing our artists with support during this COVID-19 pandemic. Please list the minimum dollar amount you require for the sale of your work. That amount will be doubled (for Textile Center’s commission) and we will add an estimate for ground shipping to set the minimum bid. Any proceeds earned above the minimum bid (minus shipping) will be split 50/50 between the artist and Textile Center.

ARTIST MINIMUM DOLLAR AMOUNT x 2 (Textile Center Commission) + SHIPPING = MINIMUM BID

Each item in the auction will feature photos, text with details, its retail value, the minimum bid, and a price for “buy it now.” Please note that there is no fee for submitting an entry for consideration. You are welcome to submit more than one entry, with a limit of three entries, but in order to do so, we ask that you submit a separate form for each entry.

If you have any question about this entry form, please contact Karl Reichert, Executive Director, kreichert@textilecentermn.org.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
